RUDA Unveils Maskan-E-Ravi: A Haven for Media Professionals

The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has unveiled another initiative aimed at enhancing the well-being of media professionals. Named “Maskan-E-Ravi,” this residential project promises a blend of modern town planning and convenience, offering 3 Marla and 7 Marla residential plots on a flexible 10-year installment plan. With a keen focus on providing affordable housing solutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Maskan-E-Ravi project, applicants must meet specific criteria:

• Full-time regular journalists from Print or Electronic Media with designations such as Reporters, Newsroom Staffers, cameramen, or Photographers are eligible.
• Graduation with a minimum of 8 years of full-time experience is required for reporting and newsroom staff positions. Cameramen and photographers do not have any educational qualification barriers.
• Applicants must not have previously been allotted plots by Federal or Provincial governments, worked for regional newspapers, or be Out Station Reporters (OSRs).
• The monthly income of applicants must not exceed Rs. 150,000/- to be eligible for allotment.

Quota Distribution:

• Newsroom Quota: 30%
• Reporters Quota: 30%
• Cameraman/Photographer Quota: 15%
• Lahore’s Outside Quota: 25%

Interested individuals must submit the following documents along with the filled application:

• a) Verified Salary Certificate
• b) Experience Certificates Verified by Employer
• c) Attested Educational Degrees
• d) Undertaking on Stamp Paper stating the applicant does not own/possess any allotted plots by Federal or Provincial governments.
