RUDA Holds SMOG Awareness Workshop

Lahore is one of the cities who is impacted from global environmental changes and RUDA recognize its severe impact on both the environment and public health. To raise the awareness of SMOG the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) hosted a SMOG Awareness Workshop at Karol Ghatti, near Mehmood Booti, Lahore. The workshop was led by Brig. Abdul Waheed Khan (Retd.), Executive Director of Engineering at RUDA, and stressed how its destroying our future generations. He also shared RUDA’s control and regulatory compliance.

Legal requirements for SMOG control were also emphasized, with a particular focus on the role of local industries in minimizing pollution.

Participants were strongly encouraged to adhere the regulations of Punjab Govt, to improve air quality of Lahore.

RUDA is committed to tackle pressing environmental issues, and this workshop serves as an important step in addressing the growing issues surrounding SMOG. Further initiatives and collaborations are expected as part of RUDA’s ongoing efforts to create sustainable urban solutions.
