RUDA & TAMC Partner for Village Uplift in Ravi City
RUDA and TAMC Join Forces to Transform Rural Communities via Village Uplift Programme
Lahore: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has partnered with the Tanwir Ahmed Medical Center (TAMC). This collaboration marks a major milestone for the Chief Minister Punjab Village Uplift Programme, aiming to bring sustainable, modern infrastructure and essential services to 93 villages within the Ravi City area.
By signing a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), RUDA and TAMC are setting a new standard for how urban authorities can integrate rural communities into larger developmental frameworks.
A Strategic Alliance for Sustainable Development
The partnership was formalised by Aman Ullah Virk, Executive Director Legal at RUDA, and Sara Tanwir, CEO of TAMC. Rather than a top-down approach, this initiative focuses on demand-driven development.
Under this agreement, both organisations will conduct thorough, on ground assessments to identify the specific needs of residents in Ravi City. Whether it is healthcare, education, or basic infrastructure, the goal is to ensure that every project addresses a real-world gap.
Key Objectives of the Partnership:
-
Targeted Interventions: Identifying priority villages within the Ravi City jursdiction.
-
CSR Integration: TAMC will act as a bridge to corporate donors, securing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding to scale up development projects.
-
Transparency: Utilizing TAMC’s expertise to document and share transformation stories, allowing the public to track progress in real-time.

Voices from the Leadership
During the signing ceremony, officials emphasised that this is more than just a piece of paper it is a commitment to the people of Punjab.
“This MOU represents a strategic alignment of RUDA’s development mandate with TAMC’s proven community expertise,” stated Aman Ullah Virk. “We are ensuring our efforts are not just well-intentioned but truly impactful for the 93 villages in our region.”
Fatima Ali Khan, Director of Special Initiatives, CSR, and Diversity at RUDA, highlighted the importance of accountability:
“Onboarding TAMC as a platform partner will bring much needed transparency. It allows the public to witness the positive change firsthand, aligning our projects with Global Sustainable Development Goals.”
Building on a Foundation of Trust
This is not the first time these two entities have worked together. The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and TAMC previously collaborated during critical flood relief efforts, where TAMC served as a vital first responder.
By formalizing this relationship, RUDA is leveraging TAMC’s medical expertise and deep-rooted community trust to ensure that the expansion of Ravi City benefits everyone.
