RUDA Leads Green Sustainability Efforts at Heal Pakistan Conference

Lahore: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) reiterated its commitment to environment sustainability at the recent “Heal Pakistan Green Sustainability & Climate Change” conference. The event was organized by NESPAK and Synergy and brought together policy makers, industry leaders, and environmentalists to discuss climate issues and its solutions.

RUDA’s Director of Environment & Climate Change emphasized the authority’s ground-breaking actions aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting ecological balance in their urban projects, Chahar Bagh and Chahar Bagh Enclave, at the conference.

One of RUDA’s signature environmental initiatives is transforming the Mehmood Booti dumpsite, which has long been an environmental issue to nearby communities, into a site that generates both environmental and economic advantages. Furthermore, modern Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTPs) are being developed near Ravi River to provide effective water resource management, reduce pollution, and promote a cleaner environment.

NESPAK engineers are already engage in RUDA’s projects as a supervisor consultant and making sure that sustainability stays at the heart of all projects, including Chahar Bagh Lahore and Sapphire Bay. This collaboration focuses on introducing and implementing eco friendly construction techniques, energy efficient infrastructure, and water conservation initiatives in Ravi City Projects of Lahore.

As climate change brings new issues to metropolitan cities, RUDA’s initiatives will serve as a paradigm for them to implement them into upcoming modern city deign and infrastructure development.
