RUDA’s Mass Transit Strategy Discussed

Lahore, April 20, 2024- In a recent gathering at RUDA headquarters, the Transport Minister spearheaded discussions aimed at streamlining Lahore’s mass transit network.

Chairman Mr. Azfar Ali Nasir, CEO Mr. Imran Amin, COO Brig (R) Mansoor Janjua, alongside other senior officials, convened to strategise the development of an integrated mass transit blueprint for Lahore.

The focal point of discussion was the establishment of an integrated transit system spanning Lahore, intended to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance commuting efficiency.

Plans were laid out for the construction of a 300-feet wide main road, stretching across the 46-Kilometer area of Ravi City, to seamlessly link it with other regions of Lahore.

Deliberations also covered the integration of existing mass transit facilities such as Metro Bus and Orange Train services within Ravi City, aiming to bolster accessibility and connectivity within the area.

With these proactive efforts, RUDA and relevant authorities are set to herald in a new age of transportation infrastructure, encouraging long term urban growth and improved mobility for Lahore citizens.
